Job Description:

DK Security is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a contract site in Kalamazoo, MI, at a Health Center office location. The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of staff and guests. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet clients and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude, providing helpful information.
Patrolling: Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the buildings, monitoring for security, safety, and maintenance issues.
Access Control: Verify that visitors and employees have proper credentials and appointments before granting access to the facility.

Current Openings:

• Monday-Wednesday 2PM-8:30PM & Friday 2PM-6:30PM, rotating Saturdays 8AM-1:30PM

Perks:

Pay Rate: $18.67/hour (subject to future increases based on contract). Additional sites worked pay rate will be determined per contract.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must NOT have any felony convictions and must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
• Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for the duration of the shift, including long distances and possibly stairs.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations.
