Junior tax manager, US | Bending Spoons
The Tone:
This is a full-time, permanent role at Bending Spoons, available in Atlanta (GA), Miami (FL), New York (NY), or fully remote from eligible countries. • Mission: Manage and optimize the company’s U.S. tax responsibilities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Compliance: Support U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance across various tax types, including corporate income, franchise, and sales and use taxes.
• Return Management: Calculate tax liabilities, prepare and file U.S. tax returns, and manage tax matters related to equity plans, employees, and contractor arrangements.
• Employee Taxation: Ensure the proper U.S. tax treatment of employee benefits, compensation, and welfare programs.
• Acquisition Support: Support tax due diligence and integration work for company acquisitions.
• Authority Interactions: Assist with interactions with the IRS, state tax authorities, and external tax advisors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possession of a valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license or an Enrolled Agent (EA) credential is required to represent the company before the IRS.
• Experience: While specific years of experience are not mandated, candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong track record of verifiable excellence and the ability to operate at a high level.
