This role is crucial for making a significant impact on students’ academic success and understanding of trigonometry, all while providing the flexibility to work from home. What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Deliver personalized, one-on-one online trigonometry instruction to individual students, adapting methods to their unique learning styles and needs.
• Simplify: Break down complex trigonometric concepts, such as periodic function behavior, amplitude, period, and phase shift, into understandable components.
• Guide: Lead students through problem-solving scenarios including right triangle trigonometry, oblique triangle calculations, identity verification, and trigonometric equation solving.
• Prepare: Equip students with a deep understanding of trigonometric functions, identities, and formulas, preparing them for calculus and engineering applications.
• Support: Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional assistance, lesson generation, and enhancing overall student engagement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Demonstrated advanced subject mastery across all core areas of trigonometry. This includes a deep understanding of trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant, cotangent), the unit circle, radian and degree measures, identities, inverse functions, and graphing transformations.
• Experience: Proven ability to teach complex mathematical concepts effectively, including breaking down periodic function behavior, amplitude, period, and phase shift. You must be skilled at guiding students through challenging problems such as right triangle trigonometry, oblique triangle calculations, identity verification, and solving trigonometric equations.
• Skills: Advanced knowledge of all trigonometric functions, identities, and formulas; expertise in breaking down and explaining complex concepts like periodic functions, amplitude, period, and phase shift; strong proficiency in guiding students through diverse problem-solving scenarios; exceptional communication skills, characterized by a friendly and engaging teaching style; and a high degree of adaptability to cater to varying student needs and individual learning styles.
• Bonus: Capability to effectively prepare students for more advanced mathematical subjects, specifically calculus and engineering applications. A strong emphasis on visual understanding using tools like the unit circle and wave patterns, coupled with the ability to connect concepts to real-world applications in fields like physics, signal processing, navigation, music, and architecture.
