What We Look For In a Trigonometry Tutor

• Advanced Subject Mastery:
  • Deep knowledge of trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant, cotangent), the unit circle, radian and degree measures, trigonometric identities, inverse functions, and graphing transformations.

  • Emphasizes visual understanding using unit circle and wave patterns, connecting concepts to real-world applications in physics and signal processing.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiar with common trigonometry curricula and student struggles, including memorizing identities, graphing transformations, and applying formulas correctly.
  • Adapts instruction using mnemonic devices (e.g., SOHCAHTOA), visual circle diagrams, and real-world examples from navigation, music, and architecture to support diverse learning styles.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with.
  • Explains material using multiple approaches and adapts instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong Communication Skills: Possesses a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
