Treasury Internship | VSP Vision

The Tone:
This is a remote internship at VSP Vision. VSP Vision operates with strategic business pillars that connect nearly 90 million patients and their health data to network doctors across the globe, all with the mission to help people see every possibility. This Treasury Internship offers an incredible opportunity for an aspiring finance professional to apply theoretical knowledge and test skills in a real-life business environment. You will partner with Treasury experts, support a key team across its primary functions, and gain a broad range of experience contributing to the daily operations of a multi-faceted enterprise, developing critical business competencies through various tasks.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Assist with bank account reconciliations and prepare associated reporting for treasury operations.
• Collaborate: Participate in and observe meetings with external banks and other financial institutions.
• Manage Accounts: Support bank account management, including the administration of bank account authorities and signatories, documenting and tracking accounts by institution and entity, and ensuring all banking documents are properly maintained.
• Implement Systems: Contribute to the implementation of a bank account management system, assisting with system setup and ensuring data integrity, and support the implementation of a bank fee analysis system by gathering data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Report: Help prepare comprehensive treasury reports and presentations for senior management.
• Improve Processes: Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize treasury operations and assist with various ad-hoc treasury, cash management, and finance projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, preferably in the 3rd or 4th year of study.
• Experience: A strong interest in corporate finance and treasury functions is required.
• Skills: Possesses excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Capable of working independently with some direction, managing multiple tasks, and maintaining confidentiality with professionalism.
• Communication: Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
