Transportation Design Engineer – Entry-Level
Location: Auburn/Opelika, AL
Employment Type: Full-time
Sain Associates is actively seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our dedicated Transportation Design team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a Project Manager, taking on diverse transportation projects that encompass roadways, sidewalks, and critical intersection improvements. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to build their technical expertise and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge engineering design software.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform quantity take-offs for various project components.
- Design robust roadway drainage systems.
- Create the horizontal and vertical geometry essential for road designs.
- Assist with the design of signage and pavement markings.
- Contribute to the development of erosion control measures necessary for project construction.
What You’ll Bring (Must Haves):
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0-4 years of professional experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with English proficiency.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
- An eagerness and enjoyment for learning new design software.
- Ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification.
- Experience with CAD software such as MicroStation or OpenRoads.
