Civil Engineer (Construction and/or Design Groups) | CORRE, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CORRE, Inc., primarily based in the field on construction project sites and site offices across Wisconsin. The company is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to contribute to successful roadway design and construction projects. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure projects through detailed design, accurate calculations, and effective field oversight.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Oversight: Oversee roadway design and construction projects from inception to completion.
• Field Execution: Manage projects directly in the field, ensuring successful execution and adherence to plans.
• Design Planning: Utilize civil engineering software, specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D, to prepare detailed design plans for various projects.
• Technical Analysis: Perform accurate engineering calculations essential for different aspects of project development.
• Team Collaboration: Support senior engineers with daily tasks across a variety of multidisciplinary projects and initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Engineer in Training (EIT) designation or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam prior to start date; experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software for calculating earthwork on construction projects (academic experience is acceptable).
• Skills: A solid understanding of AASHTO and ASCE standards and policies; excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail; demonstrated soft skills including a team player attitude, openness to feedback, adaptability, active listening, and a strong work ethic; must possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation; ability to travel, including long drive times and occasional overnight trips; must be available for night work, weekends, and flexible scheduling as project demands require; legally eligible to work in the United States upon start of employment.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and local agency procedures.
