Transaction Management Associate | Zillow

The Tone:
This is a remote role at Zillow, operating across the United States. Zillow Home Loans is actively redefining how individuals buy, sell, and finance homes by creating a more streamlined and transparent mortgage experience that integrates closely with real estate transactions. This position is vital for supporting scalable and well-controlled loan sale operations, directly influencing successful loan sale execution, investor readiness, and the overall operational scalability of the mortgage business within Zillow.

• Mission: This person solves or owns the efficient and well-controlled execution of Zillow Home Loans’ asset sales, encompassing various channels, managing post-sale reconciliations, and ensuring operational scalability and investor readiness.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications, Uniform Loan Delivery Dataset (ULDD)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Expand: Support efforts to broaden mortgage asset sale channels, engaging with agency, whole loan, and non-agency investors to enhance Zillow Home Loans’ market reach.
• Coordinate: Collaborate with the Capital Markets trade desk and loan delivery teams to execute loan and servicing sales, proactively resolving transaction issues and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Reconcile: Review and reconcile investor purchase advice, meticulously analyzing execution against expected outcomes, and sharing detailed findings with the Transaction Manager for strategic insights.
• Review: Examine and reconcile a range of post-sale items, including holdbacks, EPO/EPD invoices, escrow releases, note transfers or re-certifications, and necessary post-fund data corrections.
• Manage: Oversee note release and collateral management with warehouse banks and custodians, promptly escalating any identified risks or exceptions to ensure compliance and smooth operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or have equivalent relevant professional experience, typically fitting an an early career stage.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience working effectively with the Uniform Loan Delivery Dataset (ULDD), applying knowledge in practical scenarios.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail; demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills; and show an ability to work collaboratively across various teams to enhance outcomes.
• Skills: Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and an aptitude for managing multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, and data-driven environment.
