Training Specialist I | Jabil

The TL;DR

• Mission: Conduct training programs to strengthen new and existing employees’ technical and/or interpersonal skill development, monitor effectiveness, and ensure compliance with manufacturing concepts and IPC standards.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver Training: Conduct classroom and on-the-job training programs for new and existing employees, effectively applying adult learning principles across shifts.
• Develop Content: Create and enhance instructional materials, including lesson plans, instructor notes, handouts, and Just-In-Time (JIT) modules using appropriate software and media.
• Manage Records: Maintain accurate training records in the database, including documentation of training, test scores, certification, and re-certification processes with 100% accuracy.
• Identify Needs: Pinpoint critical skill gaps and training voids within job functions, then collaborate with management to propose and implement effective training solutions.
• Evaluate & Certify: Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, quizzes, hands-on assessments, and certifications, while also certifying and re-certifying manufacturing employees according to company guidelines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. U.S. Citizenship Required. Must be knowledgeable of manufacturing concepts, practices, procedures, and IPC standards.
• Experience: One to three years of experience in a training capacity.
• Skills: Ability to apply adult learning principles, develop instructional materials, manage training records with high accuracy, certify employees, and provide performance feedback.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
