What You’ll Do

• Learn Utility Locating Techniques: Master safety protocols and how to operate specialized equipment.
• Develop Infrastructure Understanding: Gain knowledge of local utility infrastructure and relevant regulations.
• Partner with Experienced Locators: Collaborate to accurately mark underground utility lines.
• Operate Locating Equipment: Proficiently use utility locating equipment.
• Document Findings: Record all discoveries using digital mapping tools.
• Work in All Weather Conditions: Perform duties regardless of external weather.

What You’ll Need

• Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Education/Experience: High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Driver’s License: Valid State driver’s license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable MVR record.

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: Work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate a vehicle, squeeze, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use a keyboard and mouse.
• Occasionally: Use a portable ladder, work in confined spaces, and climb stairs.

Wage Range for Trainee Locator: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour.
