Job Description, Detailed

Job Title: Test Engineering Intern

Location: Pullman, WA

Commitment: The position requires the intern to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.

Target Candidate Profile: SEL is looking for an enthusiastic team player who wishes to immediately apply their academic knowledge in assisting engineers. Candidates should be currently attending college or university and majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or respective Technology fields.

Key Responsibilities (A typical day might include):
Evaluate new test technologies and methods.
Determine Design for Test (DFT) specifications and coordinate with engineering staff on new product design.
Design, develop, and maintain test strategies for new and existing products that meet corporate objectives.
Train production testing staff in function, design, and maintenance of all testing processes on the production floor.
Gather and analyze test data to improve test coverage and efficiencies.
• Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
• Project SEL Values.
• Understand. Create. Simplify.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills (This Job Might Be For You If You Have):
• Are pursuing a technical degree in an electrical Engineering field or have equivalent work experience.
Experience with applicable programming languages.
• The ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Have background check results satisfactory to SEL.
• Have negative drug test result(s).

Pay Range: Intern pay ranges from $19.50 – $32.50 per hour. This rate is determined based on the specific internship role and the intern’s year in school (expected graduation date).
