Senior Tender Leader Data Center – F/M | Schneider Electric
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Schneider Electric, located in France. Schneider Electric is dedicated to solving real-world problems to build a sustainable, digitalized, and new electrical future. This role supports the company’s data centers, which are crucial for the world’s leading cloud, hyperscale, and colocation players, by leading complex, large-scale tender opportunities that drive digital and energy transformation. You will operate with significant autonomy and accountability for profitability and customer satisfaction on your deals.

• Team: Part of the OneSol Europe Team within the Cloud & Service Providers organization, reporting to the Head of Tendering in a growing team of around ten Tender Managers.
• Mission: Lead complex, large-scale data center tender opportunities end-to-end, from qualification through contract award, to ensure profitability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Development: Define and drive winning tender strategies in collaboration with Key Account Managers to maximize customer value, competitiveness, and profitability.
• Process Leadership: Lead the end-to-end tendering process, coordinating cross-functional and international teams across engineering, procurement, finance, legal, services, operations, and project execution.
• Proposal Management: Prepare and deliver high-quality technical, commercial, contractual, and financial proposals, ensuring full compliance with Schneider Electric policies and governance.
• Financial Acumen: Develop pricing strategies, optimize project costs, and secure target margins and cash-flow objectives for projects.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, contractual, financial, and execution risks, working closely with SRM, Legal, and Operations teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in complex solution tendering, proposal management, or customer project environments, with proven experience managing large and complex Category A opportunities (EUR10M-EUR30M+).
• Skills: Business & Commercial Acumen (customer orientation, pricing strategy, cost management, financial awareness, profitability focus), Tender & Contract Management (proposal development, commercial risk assessment, compliance, tender governance), Leadership & Collaboration (leading and influencing cross-functional multicultural teams, building alignment, driving results), Communication & Negotiation (presentation, stakeholder management, customer engagement, commercial negotiation), Fluent English.
• Bonus: Experience in Data Centers, Energy Management, Critical Power, Building Solutions or Industrial Projects; knowledge of consortium agreements and complex contractual structures; additional languages are an advantage.
