Technology Leadership Program – Risk & Security Engineer | Vanguard
The Tone:
This is a full-time, two-year rotational program at Vanguard, located in North Carolina, operating under a hybrid working model. Vanguard is on a mission to work for the long-term financial wellbeing of its clients, leading through products and services that transform their lives across various global locations. This Technology Leadership Program, specifically designed for a Risk & Security Engineer track, is engineered to expose participants to diverse areas of the IT business. It aims to develop a broad technical foundation, cultivate leadership abilities, and build strong business acumen, preparing individuals for a significant and impactful career in Information Technology within the company. Both current Vanguard crew members and external new hires are eligible, receiving targeted training in business acumen, technical knowledge, and leadership throughout the program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assimilate & Achieve: Successfully assimilate into diverse areas of the IT business, demonstrating an ability to understand specific department objectives and consistently achieve rotation goals and project assignments.
• Complete Rotations: Participate in three distinct, eight-month rotational assignments focused on either Application Development or Technology Operations, rotating within one sub-division to build upon each experience.
• Drive Resolution: Take full ownership of issues, demonstrating accountability and managing the problem resolution process from inception to completion.
• Manage Development: Proactively manage personal and professional growth through active participation in program meetings, attending all required training, and maintaining a personal plan to track accomplishments.
• Collaborate on Projects: Participate in various projects, working with stakeholders to determine scope, gather requirements and data, and recommend and implement effective solutions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level career with an Undergraduate or Graduate degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical/engineering discipline.
• Experience: No specific years required; some experience in information technology is preferred.
