Job Title: Technician Trainee Intern

About the Role:

As a Technician Trainee Intern at Tesla, you will gain hands-on experience servicing customer vehicles and completing essential tasks at our service centers. This role is not only about technical work but also about being a crucial part of our customer-facing team, requiring excellent oral and written communication skills. As an Intern, you will immerse yourself in learning about electric vehicles and Tesla’s innovative technologies, directly contributing to our mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Perform entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles.
• Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools safely and effectively.
• Execute equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
• Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for new vehicles.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, track time, and manage shop supplies and parts.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of customer vehicles.
• Provide support for Parts & Front of House operations, either as needed or on a rotational basis.

What You’ll Bring (Qualifications):

• Knowledge of methods and techniques used in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Current enrollment in an Automotive program preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required, and you must be capable of reporting to training locations or local service centers as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment with a strong “safety first” attitude.
• Familiar understanding of the English language.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating web browsers and using standard applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Expected Compensation:

$25.00 – $25.00/hour + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
