Technical Support Analyst Intern

About the Job
Aptive Environmental is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join its Technology team. The Technical Support Analyst Intern will provide first-line technical support to end-users experiencing IT issues, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems. This Intern will also assist in resolving help desk tickets efficiently and escalate more complex issues to higher-level technicians.
Compensation & Duration
- Pay: $15/hour
- Duration: 6 months, full-time with 40 hours per week expected

On-site in our Provo, UT office (Zip Code: 84604)
Responsibilities
- Respond to help desk tickets via email, phone, and online portals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT hardware and software issues.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Assist with setting up new employee workstations and basic IT configurations.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting common IT hardware and peripheral issues (printers, routers, etc.).
- Ability to follow standard procedures and provide clear technical instructions to non-technical users.
- Ability to analyze simple IT problems and provide clear resolutions.
- Effective communication skills to guide users through troubleshooting steps via phone, email, or chat.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tickets and prioritize tasks.
- A+ certification a plus but not required.
