• Team: Leads, mentors, and develops a team of electrical engineers focused on utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and hybrid renewable projects.
• Mission: To lead, guide, and develop a high-performing renewable energy engineering team, ensuring design quality and successful project delivery for sustainable electrical engineering solutions.
• Tech Stack: AutoCAD, PVsyst, ETAP, Revit, BIM 360, ACC, Aconex, electrical design tools.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers, setting technical direction, reviewing designs, approving deliverables, and ensuring consistent engineering quality.
• System Design & Integration: Oversee the design and integration of solar PV arrays, inverters, transformers, RMUs, and BESS systems into existing grid networks, reviewing yield, losses, equipment selection, and protection designs.
• Project & Resource Management: Act as the technical and team lead for electrical engineering scopes on large renewable projects, allocating resources, planning workloads, and supporting project managers with budgets, schedules, and risk management.
• Stakeholder Coordination & Documentation: Coordinate with developers, EPC contractors, utilities, and independent engineers, preparing and reviewing technical documentation, feasibility reports, proposals, and client design reviews.
• Construction Oversight & Knowledge Sharing: Provide engineering oversight and support during construction and commissioning, reviewing contractor documentation, guiding responses to RFIs, and mentoring engineers while identifying continuous improvement areas.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a strong background in renewable energy systems, solar PV, BESS, and medium voltage (MV) grid connections.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in electrical design for renewable energy or utility-scale power projects, with a demonstrated track record of leading engineering teams, managing resources, and delivering projects on time and to quality standards.
• Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, electrical design tools, and BIM workflows; strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills; hands-on understanding of utility standards, protection schemes, grounding, and electrical safety regulations.
• Bonus: Experience with PVsyst, ETAP, or similar analysis tools; field experience in solar/BESS installation, commissioning, or operations; exposure to energy storage systems, hybrid microgrids, and HV grid interconnections; familiarity with international renewable standards (IEC, ENA, G99/G100); experience supporting bids, feasibility studies, technical due diligence, or owner’s engineer scopes.
