What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Consolidation: Lead and oversee all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation activities, ensuring comprehensive and accurate aggregation of financial data from various entities.
• Prepare Reports: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements and critical management reports, providing clear insights into the organization’s financial health.
• Drive Improvements: Drive and implement continuous process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting efficiencies within the consolidation and reporting functions.
• Mentor Team: Mentor and support team members, fostering their development while effectively managing reporting timelines and deliverables to meet organizational objectives.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with SOX/internal controls and governance requirements, actively supporting both internal and external audit processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This role is for a Team Lead responsible for leading financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance efforts, with a strong understanding of audit, internal controls, and governance requirements.
• Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience specifically in financial reporting, consolidation, or Record to Report (RTR) functions. Practical experience with major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar reporting tools is essential.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of financial consolidation and reporting processes; Good understanding of IFRS/US GAAP and accounting principles; Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Bonus: CA / CPA / ACCA / CMA / MBA Finance certification; Prior experience leading teams or managing reporting processes; Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives; Experience working in multinational or shared services environments.
