About Job: Tax Winter 2026 Internship – Tysons, VA

This is an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Winter Intern in CohnReznick’s Tysons, VA office, specifically for the Winter 2026 season, running from January to April 2026. This position is hybrid, meaning team members are expected to be within commutable distance to the office and engage in intentional in-person collaboration, typically encouraged for an average of 3 days a week.

Your Team:
As an intern, you will be part of an Engagement Team working closely with other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. The firm serves a variety of industries, including Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (client exposure varies by office). Interns will have access to amenities and collaborative spaces within the CohnReznick office. Support systems include a Performance Coach for goal setting, feedback, and career guidance, and a CR Friend to provide support and a familiar face when joining the firm.

Your Role:
As a Tax Winter Intern, your primary responsibility will be to become familiar with current tax theories and laws and to perform tax procedures accurately, thoroughly, and timely, in accordance with firm standards.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
• Working on a variety of client deliverables, including the preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
• Identifying potential tax issues.
• Preparing tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
• Assisting the team with daily client workflow.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Education: Be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
CPA Pathway: Plan to complete 150 credit hours between May 2026 and September 2027 to be eligible for CPA licensure.
GPA: A minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall studies.
Coursework: Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
Prior Experience: Prior work or internship experience is considered a plus.
Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to learn in a fast-paced environment. Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Work Authorization: Successful candidates must provide proof of work authorization such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status. CohnReznick does not offer sponsorship to foreign nationals for Entry Level Roles (new associates and interns).
