About the Job: Tax Summer Intern (Boca Raton)
This is an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Summer Intern in CohnReznick’s Boca Raton office.
• Job Title: Tax Summer Intern
• Location: Boca Raton, Florida (Hybrid position – in-office presence encouraged approximately 3 days a week).
• Internship Period: June 2026 to August 2026.
Your Team:
As an intern, you will be part of an engagement team that includes other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. You’ll serve a variety of clients across diverse industries such as Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (industry exposure may vary by office). The Boca Raton office offers amenities, collaborative spaces, and private offices. You will be supported by a Performance Coach who will help establish goals and provide feedback, and a “CR Friend” for initial guidance and support.
Your Role:
As a Tax Summer Intern, your primary responsibility will be to become familiar with accounting and auditing procedures and to perform these procedures accurately, thoroughly, and timely, in accordance with firm standards.
Responsibilities (as listed in the Job Description, *note apparent discrepancy with “Tax” role title*):
The responsibilities listed primarily describe tasks typically associated with audit engagements, rather than tax. These include:
• Working on all aspects of an audit engagement, such as cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing audit work papers.
• Assisting with audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services.
• Participating in resolving audit issues by obtaining evidence and making client inquiries, while supporting the team’s daily client workflow.
Your Experience (Required Qualifications):

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Academic Pursuit: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA Readiness: Planning to complete 150 credit hours between December 2026 and September 2027 to qualify for CPA licensure.
• GPA: A minimum GPA of 3.0 in both their major and overall.
• Coursework: Successful completion of at least two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
• Prior Experience (Plus): Previous work or internship experience is beneficial but not strictly required.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Aptitude for learning in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Work Authorization: Must provide proof of work authorization, such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status.
