Job Description:
This is an Intern/Trainee position within PwC’s Tax team, offered in partnership with DirectEmployers and promoted by Lensa. As an intern, you’ll support tax teams and participate in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC’s practices. You will perform basic tasks, conduct research, observe professional work environments, and learn about developing your personal brand.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Juris Doctorate
• Required cumulative GPA: 3.0
Preferred Qualifications:
• Juris Doctorate in Taxation, Accounting preferred
• Experience in investigating and analyzing tax laws, rules, and regulations
• Experience interacting with various levels of client and firm management
• Demonstrated self-motivation and desire for personal growth
• Interest in pursuing a career in Tax
• Experience investigating business and industry trends
• Exposure to automation and digitization in professional services
• Experience working with large, complex data sets
• Eligibility to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for the relevant practice area before starting full-time
• Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.
Opportunities by area:
• ITS (International Tax): Provide advice and guidance to clients on structuring their global tax positions, analysing international tax laws and regulations to develop strategies that optimise tax efficiency and minimise risks for multinational businesses.
• M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions Tax): Provide tax advice and guidance during mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions, analysing the tax implications of such transactions, developing tax structures, and assisting clients in navigating complex tax regulations to optimise tax outcomes.
• Real Estate Tax: Advise clients on tax implications related to real estate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures. Analysing partnership and corporate tax, REIT taxation, international tax considerations, and state and local tax regulations to help clients optimise their tax positions and navigate complex real estate structures.
• SALT (State and Local Tax): Provide advice and guidance to clients on state and local tax matters, analysing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations, assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements and optimising their local tax positions.
