What You’ll Actually Do
• Documentation Preparation: Prepare work papers, trial balances, and depreciation schedules.
• Data Management: Enter data into various computer applications.
• Correspondence Drafting: Prepare engagement correspondence.
• Information Gathering: Gather data essential for tax return preparation.
• File Maintenance: Maintain the tax library and client tax and auditing files.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be currently enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university, pursuing a major in accounting. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This is an entry-level internship for Spring 2028.
• Experience: Demonstrated familiarity with standard Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, for various administrative and data management tasks.
• Skills:
• Strong demonstrated written and oral communication skills for effective internal and external interactions.
• Proven ability to work both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a professional team.
• A high degree of discretion is required when handling confidential client and company information.
• A cooperative and willing attitude to work effectively with others within the firm.
