KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Intern to join their Global Mobility Services practice.

Job Description: Tax Intern – Global Mobility Services

This internship offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team providing international companies with comprehensive global tax, compensation, benefits, and HR-related services. Specific responsibilities include:

Global Tax & Compensation Support: Serving as a direct contact for compiling and calculating compensation and benefit deductions and costs; reviewing compensation provisions; assessing applicable tax rules.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Due Diligence: Supporting M&A due diligence work related to employee compensation and employer benefits.
Research & Reporting: Participating in drafting white papers and reports on relevant topics within the global rewards space.
Global Coordination: Working with KPMG offices worldwide to provide guidance and coordination for mobility tax support; collaborating with tax and HR professionals in multinational companies to manage the tax implications of their global workforce.
Market Engagement: Participating in and contributing to external market and business activities.
Technology Development: Building capabilities in key technologies used for client service delivery, including artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and others.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Systems, or a related field. Upon internship completion, candidates must have remaining academic credits before degree attainment and/or CPA eligibility.
GPA: Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Access, VB, Power BI, Alteryx, and/or SQL is preferred but not required. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project, Visio) is essential.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills are necessary. The ideal candidate is a flexible and adaptable team player, resourceful in delivering high-quality work. A strong service mindset and critical thinking skills are also important.
Location & Travel: Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to client premises as needed, sometimes with short notice. Use of personal transportation is required.
Legal Requirements: Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship is preferred.
