Customer Service Representative 1 | Recology

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Interaction: Answer incoming telephone calls and greet customers at the service counter to assist with their needs.
• Information Provision: Promptly and accurately provide information regarding collections, rates, billing, and current account status.
• Issue Resolution: Address customer questions and resolve complaints through telephone service, computer data entry, billing adjustments, and reconciling payments.
• Record Management: Maintain appropriate records, prepare requested reports, and perform related word processing, data entry, and clerical tasks.
• Account Handling: Manage special customer accounts including those related to escrow, bankruptcies, and delinquent accounts, monitoring them to resolution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An early career professional with a high school diploma or GED, capable of providing efficient and courteous customer service.
• Experience: At least six months of related customer service experience and/or training, including proficiency with computer programs.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to use computers and technology; strong verbal and written communication; ability to build customer relationships and ensure commitments are met; effective problem-solving skills to define issues and focus on workable solutions.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
