Job Description: Tax Intern (Korean Practice, Business Tax Services)

KPMG is seeking a Tax Intern for its Korean practice within Business Tax Services. This role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team working with high-profile clients.

Responsibilities:

Support tax-related tasks for a variety of clients.
Participate in a full spectrum of assignments, gaining broad experience.
Develop and sustain excellent client relationships through teamwork.
Stay current on current tax practices and industry trends.
Build capabilities in key technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI, essential for client service delivery.

Qualifications:

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial, or systems), or an equivalent program.
Preferred: Degrees/areas of study in Accounting and Taxation. Pursuing CPA licensure requirements in the principal place of business (completion of academic credits required before starting as a Tax Associate).
Preferred GPA: 3.0 or above.
Bilingual in English and Korean, with the ability to utilize both languages in a business setting.
Preferred: Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics.
Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and have reliable transportation.
Ability to travel to client premises as needed, sometimes with short notice.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship is preferred.
