The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at The Mosaic Company, located in Plymouth, MN. The Mosaic Company is the world’s leading integrated producer of concentrated phosphate and potash, two of the three most important nutrients in agriculture, employing over 13,000 people globally. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time, 36-40 hours a week.
• Location: Hybrid Plymouth, MN (3033 Campus Drive, Suite E490, Plymouth, Minnesota 55441)
• Team: Partnered with team members in varying roles in the tax department.
• Mission: Assist in various tax areas and transformation initiatives while supporting compliance and financial reporting.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, reporting tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and international income tax returns and supporting workpapers.
• Calculate: Support quarterly tax provision calculations (ASC 740), including book-to-tax differences.
• Analyze: Prepare and analyze tax data to support compliance and financial reporting.
• Support: Aid in responding to tax notices and audit information requests.
• Improve: Utilize digital tools to improve data accuracy, consistency, and reporting efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or IT with a 2.75 GPA or higher. Candidates must have foundational knowledge of taxation and accounting principles and be able to work full time as a student in good standing.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or prior work is preferred. Previous internship or co-op experience is also preferred.
• Skills: Basic computer proficiency, proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, and reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and other reporting tools; Effective verbal communication skills.
