The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid internship at Plante Moran, located across the CO, IL, OH, and MA regions. Plante Moran is one of the nation’s largest audit, tax, consulting, and wealth management firms, a 4,738-person organization known for its “we-care” culture and world-class environment. This role is crucial for helping organizations, large and small, maintain their financial health by providing international tax services and assuring compliance. You will be treated like an entry-level staff member from day one, helping to instill confidence in client financial health.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Consulting: Provide international tax consulting services for business arising from inbound and outbound cross-border activities.
• Service Delivery: Deliver tax services for individuals working in the US and foreign countries.
• Compliance: Prepare and review global tax return compliance for US companies.
• Research: Research developments within the international arena that may affect client businesses, both globally and locally.
• Collaboration: Develop meaningful interactions with staff at all levels and across offices, participating in client entrenchment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master’s degree in accounting or tax, or LLM. Must have completed the first two entry-level accounting courses and currently be enrolled in the first intermediate level accounting course.
• Experience: Academic success demonstrated by a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Must be on track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of successfully obtaining your CPA license.
• Skills: Detail-oriented leadership with strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical abilities.
