What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: You will prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, ensuring full compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Review: You will review comprehensive client documentation and meticulously analyze financial information to support tax preparation processes.
• Identify: You will identify tax-saving opportunities and potential risks for clients by interpreting their financial data.
• Maintain: You will maintain accurate client records, assist with tax planning initiatives, and ensure strict confidentiality.
• Support: You will respond to client inquiries and provide essential support to senior staff through research on complex tax issues.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with relevant education and/or experience in Tax Preparation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, possessing foundational knowledge of tax and finance principles, including reading financial statements and understanding basic accounting concepts.
• Experience: Strong tax preparation skills, including practical experience preparing returns for individuals, coupled with proficiency in tax preparation software and common office applications such such as Excel and Word.
• Skills:
• Solid understanding of tax compliance and tax law, with the ability to accurately apply regulations in varied client scenarios.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to interpret complex financial and tax information effectively.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, crucial for explaining tax concepts clearly to clients and collaborating with colleagues.
• Ability to work on-site, manage multiple deadlines during peak tax seasons, and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professional ethics.
