What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Support: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns.
• Payment Calculation: Calculate tax extension or estimating payments.
• Professional Engagement: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, strong technical accounting knowledge, aiming for CPA eligibility. Must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0, and achieve a minimum grade of C or higher in job-relevant coursework and intermediate accounting.
• Experience: Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. State by the start date of the role.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; effective time management; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work well with a team as well as independently; problem-solving attitude; willingness to take initiative; close attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and against deadlines; reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and for off-site meetings and events.
• Bonus: Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work.
