What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Information Gathering: Meet with clients to understand their tax situation and gather necessary information.
• Accurate Tax Preparation: Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with support from experienced teammates.
• Clear Tax Communication: Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Tax Savings Identification: Identify opportunities for tax savings and recommend relevant products and services.
• Client Issue Resolution: Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address unique situations with guidance and available resources.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is required.
• Experience: Prior experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs; Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions; Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Experience in a client-facing or consultative role such as financial advising or retail sales; Ability to work 15–35 hours per week, with availability up to 40 hours during peak periods, including evenings and weekends during tax season.
