Accounting Intern (Assurance or Tax) (Bismarck, ND) | Eide Bailly

The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time (40-55 Hours/week)
• Location: In-person, Bismarck, ND
• Mission: To provide accounting and advisory support to clients, ensuring accurate reporting and maximum tax benefits, while gaining valuable professional experience.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Engagement: Participate in client engagement meetings and collaborate with the team on client projects.
• Reporting & Travel (Assurance): Travel to client sites (10-40% required) and prepare various accounting-related reports for clients across diverse industries.
• Tax Preparation (Tax): Complete individual and business tax returns of varying difficulty levels for clients in many industries.
• Tax Optimization (Tax): Analyze client tax situations to ensure the application of maximum tax benefits.
• Professional Standards: Maintain the highest professional standards and strict client confidentiality throughout all tasks.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with the goal of sitting for the CPA license. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is explicitly required, but you will get hands-on experience and work directly with experienced professionals.
• Skills: Inquisitive nature for learning client business processes, ability to multi-task effectively, consistent track record of meeting deadlines, strong interest in a variety of industries.
• Bonus: Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
