Job Description:
Lockheed Martin’s Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a small team in Owego, New York. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including:
• System Integration and Testing: Integrating and testing electronic warfare (EW) hardware, firmware, and software. This includes debugging systems and evaluating performance.
• Test Scripting: Developing and executing test scripts using programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, or C++. The scripts will be used to automate testing and accelerate new product development.
• Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving reported problems within the EW systems.
• Documentation: Generating and reviewing test procedures and reports for customer deliverables.
• Automation: Automating testing processes to improve efficiency and speed up development cycles.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Mathematics, Physics, or other related STEM degrees will also be considered.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: MATLAB, Python, C, or C++.
• Familiarity with common test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• US Citizenship (required for government security clearance).
Desired Skills:
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• A strong mathematical background.
• Knowledge of both Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) systems.
• Experience with software development tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, and DOORS.
Security Clearance:
A government security clearance is required for this position. Applicants must be US citizens to be considered. The clearance level is Secret.
Work Location & Schedule:
This position requires on-site work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility in Owego, New York. A 4×10-hour day schedule (3 days off per week) is offered. Relocation assistance may be possible.
