Swift iOS Mobile Developer Intern | CliquePrize®

The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship position at CliquePrize®, offered for Academic Credit and portfolio building. CliquePrize® is a U.S.-based mobile application that connects small businesses with local customers through engagement methods like giveaways, video contests, raffles, and surveys. The iPhone app utilizes Apple location services to link local residents with brick-and-mortar businesses, helping them expand their customer base through database marketing. This role provides practical experience in mobile development and data operations, allowing you to contribute to small business marketing strategies and make a tangible impact on their growth through innovative technology.

• Mission: Maintain and update the existing iOS app, manage deep link integrations, and gain practical experience in mobile development and data operations.
• Tech Stack: Swift, iOS, NoMachine.com, Tailscale.com, Branch.io, MySQL, Azure, GitHub, Storyblok, Azure Web Static App hosting, REST APIs, JSON, Cursor.com, GitHub CoPilot for XCode.

What You’ll Actually Do
• App Maintenance: Perform ongoing maintenance and updates for the existing iOS app, including bug fixes, SDK updates, performance enhancements, and minor feature adjustments.
• Code Access: Remotely access and manage the Swift codebase on an in-office Mac located in Nashville, TN, using NoMachine.com and Tailscale.com.
• Deep Link Management: Manage and update Branch.io configurations, including offers, sign-ups, Bullseye! screens, and other deep links integrated with the CliquePrize® iOS Mobile App.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Report directly to the CEO on project progress, deliverables, and challenges, and collaborate with another Swift Developer on SDK tasks, bug resolution, and enhancements. Participate in weekly team meetings for brainstorming solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Mandatory proficiency in Swift for iOS development.
• Skills: Strong understanding of database systems (MySQL), cloud platforms (Azure), version control (GitHub), and various middleware tools. Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and principles of mobile app data integration. Familiarity with headless CMS platforms and Azure Web Static App hosting.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Storyblok headless CMS.
