What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Project Team: Assist project teams in applying basic supply chain knowledge and developing new skills.
• Support Operations: Provide essential support for purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analysis, and contract/purchase order generation.
• Manage Materials: Ensure timely material availability and optimal inventory levels based on demand signals for assigned products.
• Prevent Shortages: Monitor material shortage tools, adjust supplier delivery schedules, and communicate shortage risks to customers.
• Drive Improvements: Develop and implement plans to support buyers in areas like response time, quality, cost, logistics, and risk management for efficient operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field with an overall GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
• Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience in this field, with internships or academic projects being a plus.
• Skills: Analytical thinking, problem solving, procurement knowledge, procurement systems, vendor/supplier management.
• Bonus: Interest in process improvement and vendor relationship management.
