Enterprise Operations Business Internship | HP

The Tone:
This is a 12-week paid summer internship with HP, a global technology leader building a portfolio that spans printing, personal computing, software, and services, serving over 1 billion customers in 170 countries. The program is designed to attract students with diverse skills and experiences, allowing them to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges within the company’s Supply Chain Organization. This role is crucial for bringing fresh ideas and innovation, contributing to HP’s future success and supporting its mission to engineer experiences that amaze. The internship is intended for conversion to a full-time role, pending performance and headcount, and requires candidates to be eligible to work in the US without future sponsorship.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Analysis: Assist in analyzing and mapping current supply chain processes using the SCOR model framework to identify areas for improvement.
• Recommendation Development: Propose recommendations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction in Sourcing and Logistics areas.
• Initiative Support: Support the implementation of supply chain improvement initiatives such as inventory management, demand planning, and order fulfillment.
• Market Research: Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Data-Driven Solutions: Apply analytics to develop data-driven solutions and financial or operational models for complex business problems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Completion of the 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree or the 1st year of a Master’s/MBA program, typically in a non-technical specialization such as Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial Distribution, or General Business Management. Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited university.
• Experience: Must be eligible to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2027 and not require sponsorship in the future. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented work ethic, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environment.
• Bonus: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, and Access database. Experience with programming languages like Python and knowledge of statistical analysis or financial modeling. Previous internships in a Supply Chain related function are preferred.
