Summer Professional Enrichment (SPE) Intern | Evonik Corporation

The Tone:
This is a 12-week summer internship at Evonik Corporation, located across the United States. Evonik is a global specialty chemicals company seeking self-starters to make a difference. This role offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to apply their academic knowledge to meaningful, practical projects, gaining real-world experience and expanding their understanding beyond university studies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Work on a dedicated technical project, applying academic knowledge to solve real-world challenges.
• Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team on a regional group project.
• Contribute to diverse fields such as manufacturing/operations and environmental health & safety.
• Engage in professional development by meeting executives and learning about Evonik’s business portfolio.
• Network with peers through a virtual series and participate in Employee Resource Groups.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry; Authorization to work in the US without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Experience: Entry-level opportunity designed for current undergraduate students seeking real-world professional experience.
• Skills: Technical problem-solving, process analysis, research & development methodologies, technical drawing interpretation, project planning.
