Summer Marketing Intern | Wausau Supply Company
The Tone:
This is a summer internship at Wausau Supply Company, located in Schofield, WI. Founded in 1947, Wausau Supply is an employee-owned distributor of top-quality building materials from leading manufacturers, also known for its own high-quality brands like Diamond Kote Siding System, Waudena, ChamClad, and Taylor Entrance Systems. This role supports the Marketing Team in refreshing and implementing updated brand guidelines and assisting with key digital marketing initiatives. It offers hands-on experience in brand management, content planning, market research, analytics, and digital marketing within the building materials industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Brand Management: Support brand guideline implementation to ensure consistent visual and verbal identity across departments.
• Digital Marketing: Contribute to digital content planning, including brainstorming, scheduling, and asset organization.
• Market Research: Perform market research to identify audience trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities.
• Marketing Operations: Organize and catalog marketing materials within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) System.
• Organizational Support: Maintain an organized image library to enhance team accessibility and workflow efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (junior standing preferred).
• Experience: Coursework or prior projects related to digital marketing, research, or brand development.
• Skills:
• Ability to follow and apply brand guidelines for consistency across materials.
• Strong organization and documentation habits with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
