They offer internships on their Municipal Bond, High Yield, Fixed Income, and Marketing teams, located in New York, California, and New Jersey.
Job Description: New York Life Investments Summer Internship Program
This 10-week paid internship, starting in June 2025, is designed for rising juniors and seniors seeking valuable experience and skills to launch their careers in the financial sector.
Interns will be placed at one of the three divisions:
• New York Life Investments Management
• Apogem Capital
• MacKay Shields
The program includes:
• Weekly intern events: Lunch & Learns, Meet & Greets with senior leaders, market calls.
• Training and development seminars.
• Networking opportunities.
• Social events.
• Potential for a full-time analyst role upon graduation.
Depending on the placement, internship responsibilities could include:
• Creating and participating in presentations.
• Partnering with stakeholders in various departments (marketing, sales, business intelligence, compliance, finance, legal).
• Collaborating on creating new product marketing materials.
• Synthesizing research and developing presentations for product recommendations.
• Project management and execution for new product launches.
• Assisting with the planning and coordination of events.
• Operational work like updating databases, managing queues, inputting client requests.
• Conducting credit research, security analysis, industry/market research.
• Attending training and development seminars.
• Exposure to senior leadership, subject matter experts, networking events.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited 4-year university or college.
• Anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
• Business, Finance, or related major preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Prior internship experience or significant contributions to campus or community extracurricular activities.
At the end of the program, interns will be considered for a full-time analyst role in the New York Life Investments Analyst Program, a 2-year program with rotations in different business areas.
Interviews begin mid-September.
