Job Description: Summer Internship – Latin America (LATAM) Ad Sales Finance Department

This is a paid, full-time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday) summer internship running from May/June to August 29th (dates flexible based on school schedules) located in a specified office. The internship is ideal for students enrolled in an accredited college or university seeking professional experience.

Department: The Latin America (LATAM) Ad Sales Finance Department provides administrative, financial, and accounting support for the Sony Pictures Television Latin America division. This encompasses advertising sales, TV distribution, theatrical releases, and digital initiatives (YouTube, social media, FAST channels). The team’s core responsibilities include billing, collections, revenue recognition, cash flow optimization, and financial analysis/reporting for LATAM.

Responsibilities: The intern will assist with various key projects:

Yay Pay A/R Software: Updating advertiser and agency profiles, workflows, and assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Billing and Collections: Generating invoices, credit/debit memos, and applying cash.
Cash Management: Clearing unapplied cash accounts.
Settlements: Preparing settlement statements to process payments to third-party networks.
Agency Incentives: Reconciling agency incentives to ensure accurate quarterly accruals.
Digital Revenue Reconciliation: Assisting with the monthly reconciliation of digital revenues and expenses.
Withholding Tax: Reconciling withholding tax certificates.
Month-End Close: Assisting with parking journal entries related to cash, balance sheet, and receivables.
Reconciliations: Reviewing cash and balance sheet reconciliations.
Reporting: Preparing monthly accounts receivable (A/R) status reports.

Qualifications:

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills (working effectively with commercial, finance, and operations teams across the region).
Fluency in Spanish and English (oral and written).
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of relevant work experience/internships.
• Finance/accounting background.
• SAP knowledge.
