• Team: Interns work under the supervision of a department leader or designee within an assigned department.
• Mission: To support departmental operations and enhance the patient and visitor experience in an inpatient care setting without providing hands-on clinical care.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist: Support departmental operations and complete assigned duties under the supervision of a department leader or designee.
• Facilitate: Aid patients and visitors by providing directions, answering questions, and coordinating transport and communication between departments.
• Partner: Collaborate with nursing staff and unit coordinators to identify and address non-clinical patient needs that improve satisfaction.
• Observe: Gain a deeper understanding of hospital operations and clinical workflows without performing clinical tasks.
• Promote: Cultivate a positive, service-oriented environment across all inpatient units through meaningful interactions and support tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum of two years of high school required. For some internships, enrollment in or nearing completion of an undergraduate or terminal degree in a field relevant to the internship.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required, as this internship is designed for gaining hands-on practical experience in the healthcare field.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment; demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and willingness to learn; ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Bonus: Must be at least 16 years of age (18 for assignments involving chemicals or power tools). Clinical interns may be required to be enrolled in an accredited professional program and meet specific regulatory or licensure requirements.
