Job Description: Summer Internship – System Safety

This is a paid, full-time summer internship (June 9, 2025 – August 1, 2025) located in Fort Worth, TX, with minimal travel required. The internship offers a hands-on experience in the operational support of rail transportation, focusing on:

Safety Data Analysis: Learning to manage reports of injuries, rail equipment incidents, and highway grade crossing incidents.
Regulatory Compliance: Monitoring hours of service compliance data.
Safety Communications & Collaboration: Interacting with Operations departments to compile and review information; producing reports to monitor safety performance.

The internship provides practical training and mentorship from experienced professionals, allowing interns to contribute to real-world projects. Successful interns may be offered full-time Management Trainee positions upon graduation.

Responsibilities: The listed responsibilities are representative, not exhaustive. Key duties include:

• Learning to manage incident reports (injury, rail equipment, highway grade crossings).
• Monitoring hours of service compliance data.
• Collaborating with Operations departments to gather and review information.
• Creating reports to track safety performance.
• Demonstrating leadership, teamwork, clear communication, adaptability, and resilience.

Work Environment: The daily work is conducted in an indoor office environment.

Training: The internship begins with a two-day orientation in Fort Worth, covering company overview and networking opportunities. This is followed by ongoing project support and departmental training.

Relocation: Relocation is required if the applicant lives more than 50 miles from Fort Worth, TX. Reliable transportation to and from work is mandatory.

Monthly Salary: $4,875
