About the Role
This is a paid summer internship within the Enterprise Data and Analytics – Medical Economics, Shared Services department. The program provides students the opportunity to gain meaningful professional experience and learn about the healthcare industry, including its operations, strategy in managed care, healthcare delivery, and community impact, while contributing to efforts to improve access to care and support healthier communities.
What You’ll Do
• Contribute to real team initiatives
• Complete a defined project aligned with departmental priorities
• Collaborate with team members
• Gain exposure to the operations and strategy behind managed care, healthcare delivery, and community impact
• Learn and understand the core components of medical data, as well as how that data is used to identify core drivers in medical cost
• Assist in retrieving, analyzing and summarizing medical data to provide actionable insights for the business
• May present your work and key learnings to leaders and peers
You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program
• Have completed at least one year of college coursework by the start of the internship
• Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Have authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Have the ability to work onsite, 3 days per week
