Job Description: Summer Intern – IT Vendor and Contract Analysis
This internship provides hands-on experience in vendor and contract management within Batesville’s IT department. The intern will:
• Assist in IT vendor relationship management: This includes communication and coordination with vendors.
• Support contract review, negotiation, and administration: The intern will contribute to the lifecycle of IT contracts.
• Maintain and update vendor and contract information: This involves data entry and database management.
• Conduct vendor and market research: Staying abreast of industry trends is a key aspect.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures: Adherence to internal regulations is expected.
• Collaborate with IT teams on projects: The intern will work within a team environment.
• Prepare reports and presentations: Communication of findings and progress is required.
Qualifications:
• Current enrollment in a college/university pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask are necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
• A fundamental understanding of IT concepts and terminology is needed.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively is crucial.
Desired Skills (Nice to Haves):
• Prior experience in vendor or contract management.
Compensation: $18.00 to $19.50 per hour (based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location). The position also offers opportunities for development and advancement within the company.
