About the Role
This paid summer internship within the PA CHC Health Plan provides students with the opportunity to gain professional experience and learn about the healthcare industry while improving access to care and supporting healthier communities. Interns will focus on healthcare strategy, policy, and developing strategies and care models to better connect Medicaid and Medicare services for individuals in Pennsylvania’s Community HealthChoices (CHC) program, particularly those relying on Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS).

What You’ll Do
• Contribute to real team initiatives and complete a defined project aligned with departmental priorities.
• Collaborate with team members, developing professional skills.
• Gain exposure to operations and strategy in managed care, healthcare delivery, and community impact.
• Support the development of strategies and care models for Medicaid and Medicare services within Pennsylvania’s Community HealthChoices (CHC) program.
• Gain hands-on experience with projects focused on care coordination, member experience, and health equity.
• Present work and key learnings to leaders and peers at the conclusion of the internship.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are currently enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program.
• Have completed at least one year of college coursework by the start of the internship.
• Hold a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Are able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Are able to work onsite, 3 days per week.
