Job Description: Summer Construction Internship
Walbridge offers paid summer internships designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to industry leaders. The internships aim to prepare talented construction and engineering students for full-time careers at Walbridge upon graduation. Part-time opportunities may be available during the school year.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in coordinating on-site construction and engineering activities for various projects.
• Interpret design/drawings, specifications, submittals, and other construction documents.
• Assist Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, and Coordinators with project-related technical and logistical functions, including subcontractor and supplier planning/administration, and work assignments.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure quality construction, supporting the overall project schedule.
Qualifications:
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university’s construction-related degree program (Engineering – EE, ME, CE, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field).
• Prior construction experience or military service is a plus.
• Proficiency in technology, computers, and software, including standard MS Office applications.
