Shulman Rogers is seeking energetic, entrepreneurial, and motivated 2L students to join their 2026 Summer Associate Program. Summer Associates will work closely with attorneys across various practice areas, gaining hands-on experience through practical legal work, research, and client interactions. The Summer Associate Program is hosted exclusively in our Potomac office.
Responsibilities
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including contracts, motions, and client correspondences.
• Assist in due diligence and case preparation.
• Participate in meetings, depositions, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with attorneys on client matters and case strategy.
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school; rising 2L students only.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Enthusiasm for learning and working in a collaborative environment.

The Interview Process
The interview process typically begins with a virtual screening interview with one or two attorneys. Following the initial interview, if selected, a callback interview will be scheduled where you will meet with several attorneys, including Partners and Associates. Callback interviews will take place in our Potomac office.
