About the Job Description

This job posting is for a Summer 2026 Technical Intern on the Voice of the Customer (VoC) and Customer Analytics Team at PSEG Company: Public Service Electric & Gas Co.

Requisition: 83310
Salary Range: $37,100 – $55,600 (note: all PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, with no medical benefits).
Work Location Category: While generally listed as “Hybrid Flexible,” this specific position requires a minimum of three days a week in the office at PSE&G’s Newark office.

The Voice of the Customer (VoC) Team leverages J.D. Power business and residential studies for feedback and customer perception improvements, overseeing Transaction Satisfaction Surveys (TSS) and managing post-interaction customer experience. The Customer Analytics Team works with large data sets, develops dashboards, manages utility data lakes, supports strategic initiatives like customer segmentation, and provides analytics support to the Customer Solutions organization.

As a VoC and Customer Analytics Intern, you will assist both teams in providing insights into customer experience through various assignments.

Job Responsibilities will include:
• Continuing improvements of reporting and process documentation for the VoC Playbook.
• Building Power BI dashboards for TSS and J.D. Power.
• Participating in Journey Mapping sessions.
• Performing customer research to enhance the customer experience.
• Building and maintaining PowerBI dashboards.
• Using machine learning outputs in analysis.
• Providing general support to the customer analytics team with reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Specific Qualifications:
Education: Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution.
Majors: Business administration, data analytics, accounting, marketing, communications, IT, or similar.
Graduation Date Eligibility: Must be graduating between December 2026 and May 2029. Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in Fall 2026.
Coursework: Must have completed sophomore-level coursework.
Driving Requirements: A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required due to potential travel to various PSEG and customer locations.
Regulatory Compliance (10 CFR 810): The successful applicant must meet specific Department of Energy regulations regarding US citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or “Protected Individual” status. PSEG is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.

Desired Qualifications:
• A 3.0 GPA.
• Knowledge of the Energy/Utility industry.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Independent, energetic, team player with an inquisitive spirit.
• Coding proficiency with Python or SQL.
• Familiarity with developing Tableau and/or PowerBI dashboards.

Internship Specifics:
Compensation: All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate.
Benefits: There are no medical benefits associated with these positions.
Work Schedule: Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship.
Logistics: Interns must be able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided.
