Job Description: Summer 2025 Internship Program at CNBC

Program Overview: The NBCUniversal Summer 2025 Internship Program at CNBC offers paid internships ($17.50/hour) running from June 2nd to August 8th, 2025, requiring a 40-hour-per-week commitment. Internships are located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, with various perks including paid company holidays, networking opportunities, a complimentary Peacock subscription, free Universal Parks admission, access to mental health resources, and potential financial assistance for transportation and housing (needs-based). CNBC headquarters offers amenities such as an onsite fitness center, gourmet cafeteria, massage therapy, and free shuttle service to Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hoboken, and Jersey City.

Internship Areas at CNBC:

CNBC Digital Development: Involves creating engaging video content for various platforms, working with video producers, and using Photoshop for thumbnail creation and transcription.
CNBC Direct to Consumer Marketing: Assists with subscription marketing campaigns, email marketing, marketing copy development, project management, data analytics, and QA support.
CNBC Social Media: Manages social media presence across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, creating and scheduling content.
CNBC Marketing & Promotion: Assists with production of on-air and marketing materials, including tasks such as tape screening, music selection, b-roll acquisition, script writing, and on-location support.
CNBC Events: Rotational experience focusing on various projects within the editorial, audience development, production, and sales & marketing groups for their virtual and in-person events.
CNBC Councils: Supports the Business Operations team, managing member databases, tracking engagement, conducting competitive analysis, and creating content for members across various platforms.
CNBC Talent Development: Hands-on experience in production, strategic planning, and project management, including research, clip reel creation, and observation of studio productions.
CNBC Strategic Content: Writing for cnbc.com, supporting content production for TV, and learning about podcasting.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements: Active enrollment in a degree-granting program (June-August 2025), sophomore standing or above (30 credits), US work authorization without sponsorship, willingness to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. May 2025 graduates are ineligible.
Desired Characteristics: Junior or senior standing preferred, GPA 3.0 or above, strong interest in media (business news a plus), commitment to inclusivity, multitasking skills, excellent communication, interest in research, prior internship experience, and relevant skills depending on the specific internship area (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere, social media management).
