About the Job: Student Support Role – Heavy Civil Construction & Materials

This role provides meaningful, fast-paced work within a supportive environment, focusing on both practical skills and professional development. Each assignment typically lasts 3-6 months, offering substantial exposure and learning opportunities.

  • Typical Duties: As a student supporting a crew, project, or plant team, your responsibilities will involve contributing to the planning, scheduling, and execution of heavy civil construction projects. Specific duties may include:
    • Coordinating subcontractors
    • Project Schedule Management
    • Exposure to project plans
    • Preparing work plans
    • Contract Management
    • Daily reporting
    • Ordering materials
    • Change orders

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required.
    • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mining & Materials Engineering, Business Management, or another engineering-related degree.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • A strong team player with a collaborative attitude.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to change in a dynamic environment.
