Job Summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Mechanical Engineering student to join our team as an intern in our Muscatine, IA office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on real design projects and gain valuable hands-on experience in the consulting engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities

As a Student Intern, Mechanical, you will:

• Work on real design projects alongside experienced engineering teams.
• Develop an understanding of various mechanical systems, including:
  • Building mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection).
  • District & central heating and chilled water plants.
  • Campus-type utility distribution systems.
  • Industrial/process facilities.
  • Power and infrastructure retrofits and upgrades.
  • Other energy infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to engineering calculations.
• Assist with equipment selection.
• Participate in layout and 3D Modeling of systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a Mechanical Engineering student.
• Interest in consulting engineering and the various project types listed.
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite office environment in Muscatine, IA.
