HR Intern – Data and Reporting | Akron Children’s

This is an internship at Akron Children’s, located onsite. Akron Children’s is a pediatric healthcare environment that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to its Human Resources department. This role is crucial for providing administrative support and assisting with vital data collection, reporting, and analysis that underpins employee relations and quality improvement initiatives within the organization.

• Type: Part-Time, Monday – Friday, 32-40 hours per week
• Location: In-person, Akron, OH
• Mission: To provide essential administrative, data, and reporting support for the Human Resources department, contributing to employee relations, workplace trends, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Word, Excel), HRIS systems, other HR-related technologies
What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide administrative support within the Human Resources department.
• Assist with research and analysis related to employee relations initiatives.
• Participate in employee relations initiatives specifically within a pediatric healthcare environment.
• Contribute to data collection, reporting, policy research, and documentation for HR projects.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee relations information with integrity and professionalism.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently enrolled in a Human Resources or related degree program.
• Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Office, Word, and Excel; able to learn and navigate HRIS systems and other HR-related technologies; comfortable with filing, scanning, and maintaining confidential electronic records.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills; comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification for HR processes; able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment; demonstrates accuracy in data entry, case documentation, and record maintenance; pays close attention to deadlines, compliance requirements, and record-keeping expectations.
